Talk to the recruiter about the goals of the organization and why they’re looking for someone in the role. Is the role new to the org or are they replacing? What kinds of projects have they developed in the past/looking to develop in the future? Do they have a specific vision of the potential hires background/experience or are they looking at a wide field? What’s their decision timing look like? Are there any major events on the orgs calendar in the next 60 days that could influence the hiring process (ex: Cannes pauses senior hiring in agencies for 3-4 weeks, unless the process is already really far along)
Thanks. It was a decent convo and I really want this. They’re handing it to an outside talent agency so I just have to hold my breath, but I appreciate the advice...and any spare good juju you have for a random internet stranger.
