I am almost 23 and don’t know much about the investment and savings vehicles/strategies that I should be using. IRAs, Roth IRA’s, long-term investments, how much I should be contributing/saving for financial success, etc. Any suggestions? I currently have $4,000 in savings, and a few thousand sitting in checking that I use regularly but try to not spend too much. Rent is $1600. Likely looking to go to grad school in the next 2-3 years.
Salary: $86,000/yr (~5000 a month take home)

Would it be a bad move to let them know about the other offer and try negotiating? I feel it wont make a difference in the long run, but at the same time I don’t want to leave any money on the table if possible.

So I want more, I love the people but I think I should leave, I don't know where to look though. I'm nervous about a big 4, i don't know if I can go industry without big 4 experience, any advice?
It’s been a longer employment gap than I expected since getting laid off in July, and the job market for mortgage underwriters isn’t looking that great given all of the interest rate increases. While there are really no professions completely immune to adverse economic conditions, I’m strongly considering training into a new career but I’m unsure where to pivot. Is anyone in a similar spot? Does anyone know of any good “underwriting adjacent” career paths?

I have cleared all the interviews for Walmart Global Tech and salary negotiations are also done. I have experienced a lot of progress in the field of mental health since I began my career as a Licensed Social Worker, 25+ years ago. We've come a long way educating others about mental health and increased the focus on addressing individual needs. But, at least in my profession, we are doing this at the cost of the case manager's mental and physical health. I am definitely familiar with high caseloads, but they have increased significantly. Been selling covered calls or puts on F. Seems almost too easy. What can go wrong, outside of it actually hitting ITM?
I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
