May I know what is the notice period if one resigns in infy during the first 6 months of joining? I am a lateral resource and they hired me in June, but they have no projects related to my tech and want me to take weird roles.. seems they are hiring to increase employee count and cross training most. just looking for options..

Hi,
I have joined ACTI a month back in Kolkata in L9. I wanted to opt for Company Car Lease policy just to save TAX but finding it too complicated.
I had raised queries to payrole and they have replied with a suggestion to think twice before opting for this benifit.
What do you all suggest, who have already opted for it?Accenture
Howz it working with DBS Hyderabad?

Best advice I've ever gotten- titles don't mean squat. Ieft B4 for a smaller boutique and got a 35% increase. Take the cash.
As far as exit oops, I'm getting more Corp strategy recruiter calls than my counterparts at B4.
Honestly, I don’t think M and Deloitte or PwC means a lot. You will get the same interviews whether you’re at a boutique or big 4 providing you’re a good networker.
Not sure about PwC more broadly. But there is a material shift in exits (and comp) that I’ve seen from S& at the M grade for what it’s worth.
What do you actually mean by "up for M"?
Take the money, the title and exit from the new firm will be higher once more. If you can’t hit that pay band as a M at Big D then take the cash
Hey bud, I was in the same boat. Was an SC at D last year and smaller firms were offering me SC and M roles with salary bumps. Stuck it out and made it to M. Now I’m preparing for my SM interview at a smaller firm that will double my pay. Brings me to MD pay at D. Not sure if I’ll make it, but my advice is to make M in your current firm and then go fishing. Good luck either way!
Name of the firm!!! Jesus that's a good base.

Follow the money. You've already got B4 on your resume, so unless you're looking to make a potentially hard jump in a year or two, there are few downsides to chasing the money now.
All thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it. To quantify, it’s a 60% bump to base salary to work for Slalom
Don’t. See my explanation below.
M is a good title to have - it shows you can at least hold the title of a manager and can be trusted to manage others (at least via the title). Senior Manager, maybe less so in terms of a huge delta for exit ops. At the M/SM levels, the total YoE matters more.
I think being in India if you are getting a significant salary hike then u should look to move. You can make M in a year if you negotiate right before signing the dotted line.
I’m in the US. But thanks for the advice friend!
Is the smaller firm more prestigious? 12 months from now, M at big 4 will open up many more doors than SC at a no name firm. Even SC at big 4 would open more doors. How long do you plan to stay in consulting? If youre leaving in the next year or two, and the other firm is no-name, then stay at big 4 for exit opps. If the other firm is in a specialty you want or is prestigious, and/or you plan to stay quite a while, go to the other firm.
Anything that's Tier 2 ie
A&M, AlixPartners, ATKearney, FTI, LEK, Oliver wyman, accenture , booz Allen, all pop to mind as firms that are better than big 4 at pretty much most things other than audit.
Granted s& and eyp prob do pure play strategy better than most of these
Thats a tough one. Id probably wait to see if you can get manager somewhere else. I made a similar choice and i started to bug me when less experienced people were my managers even though i probably made more than them
Titles don’t pay the bills. Time value of money all day long.
Think about where you want to be in the next 3-5 years. Big tech will come at your door if you are a M with B4 especially D. If you plan to be in consulting and make partner fast track then stop following the money and stick your nose to the ground. If you’re ok with treating your career as a marathon and not a sprint no harm in trying different things. I would also talk to the new firm and see if the M title is a possibility especially since you’re up at the current level. There will always be better opportunities once u go up but the gamble is about the bird in hand. In summary, there’s no right answer, weigh the pros and cons based on your current situation and future goals
You could always try to negotiate for the title bump? Prove a case for being ready?

I personally think this is going to be a tough year for promotions as everyone who should’ve gotten one last year will be back stronger for round 2.
I’d take the money and not look back. People seriously over estimate the “value” of Deloitte and titles.
