Seems like the “Financial Analyst” role is just a new title for Accountant. I’m on my third interview for a Senior Financial Analyst position but the job description seems to be a mixture of both general accounting activities but also financial statement analysis. Is this a trap? Or is it truly a hybrid finance/accounting role?

I honestly struggle with the politics of Afghanistan. It does appear that after 20 years we leave and within months it goes back to very similar or on its way. Why are people now treating e-mail as instant messaging? I work with several people that for some reason expect all emails to be answered within minutes of being received…. I can understand the sense of urgency around some high-priority, time-sensitive matters… but everything does not fall into that category… it drives me crazy.

Im a RN and took on a new role working in Home Health. I chose this position because My husband & I recently moved to PA with our 2 kids (1&3), with no family available for his residency program with a hospital. If you know that life, I’m pretty much the main parent for our kids. I don’t want to work in the hospital/floor work anymore; nor do I believe the hrs are flexible enough.
