Sharing some thoughts as I travel on the weekend after a long time … 15 years in consulting - came from industry. We are at a very interesting stage of consulting where our services model is broken. Our talented experienced leader that knows a domain can effectively replace a pyramid of managers, consultants and analysts leveraging LLMs. Are others experiencing this? I feel privileged that I am able to leverage tech in this way. Leveraging GPT, Claude across the board for advisory.

You won’t be “privileged “ for long. You are training your replacement, not leveraging it. I hope people understand that. Every token input there is training the model. This is early days of the tech , you “talented experienced leader” has no clue where this is going.

As much as I hate to say it, but this is not going to make much of a difference dent. This is not gonna to be effective unless people do it en masse.

Is this talented experienced leader in the room with us right now?

My talented experienced leader cannot even articulate thoughts over e-mail, let alone organize himself to replace anyone…

Hi everybody! 😊
I've been working as a Junior Analog Design Engineer for a year and half.
I received a proposal for a Senior Analog Designer role from Bosch in the same city where I am currently working.
Should I wait and build up a few more years of experience before accepting a Senior role or should I jump in and work to fill the gap?
Next year, there will be an important deadline for the project I'm working on and my resignation could be critical for the team, how would you deal with it?

Hello Fishes,

I am a 2022 MBA graduate working at Deloitte as a consultant. I am a part of their internal strategy team (non client facing role). I have a prior workex as a software developer and I am looking to make a move to Product Management.

I want to understand few things
1. How difficult is it to move to a PM role with no workex?
2. I am getting paid decently here, does PM jobs also pay highly (I am expecting a CTC of ~25-27LPA)
3. How to prepare for the interviews?

I want to dispose my office chair and i live in Newton. Anyone knows if i can leave it curbside or where i can check for the details?

I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

What is project specific BGC in TCS?

I joined TCS just 2.5months back and unfortunately my hr informed me that my bgc is negative. The reason is I didn't show them the past experience of 2 companies in which i was for a very short period time, and those 2 companies were MNC's. I have given them genuine reason that why i didn't mention it in my resume and also have given the experience letter of those 2 companies as a proof to TCS. Will they still ask me to resign?

Best place to get pre-qualified for a mortgage?

I have some collections on my credit report. One from an electric company for $800 (imo they violated terms of contract and sent me to collections in spite of their fuck up), and an apartment for $80~ that charged me a cleaning fee when my apartment was spotless.

Despite these two collections have a 712-720 credit score.

So mortgage lenders care at all about the collections or is it mostly the credit score that matters?
