I'd just assume they're adding to the current headcount instead of replacing current employees. It costs money to train new hires so it makes little sense that they'd hire new folks just to fire current ones. All that's assuming that you're performing at level.
Cpa firms post to add headcount. This is when they typically try to recruit experienced seniors for next busy season who are leaving other cpanfirms for xyz reason. You have nothing to worry about since your review was great and are not on a performance improvement plan.
YES! START LOOKING!
Taking personal stuff home etc.
Odds are they are not expanding head count.
These other people replying are living in fantasy land (aren't running anything, and using common business sense, which hasn't been used in over 15 years).
I'll be forever grateful to my friend that found the posting for my job while I was working there. Lol.
You are being priced for replacement.
Unless they have posts that run all the time?
Busy season ads are usually in fall.
This will be a good way to find out 100% and either stay or get fired faster.
OP: what is the vibe you get at work?
Maybe ask them if they are hiring for xyz and if they are expecting higher volume.
Or are they understaffed and talk about "we will fix it soon" (they rarely do).
If you start asking questions, they might think you're getting wise and let you go sooner.
Or they might think you are paranoid.
Tough choice. If you're happy there just ride it out, but start looking at options.
What is the history of the firm?
Do they help people in their careers? Or are they the churn and burn new graduates type?
