What romantic relationships
I’m no longer single and I am married, but I had to find someone who valued being around me… so, we could be in the same room doing our own things, and that was good for them. I also found someone who understood clearly what they were getting into. I also decided to implement boundaries with my job eventually (I.e., I’m not working while at dinner).
Pro tip: find someone who is into marathon running and you won’t see them for 1-3 hours of the day! Jk. But find someone who has a hobby or who likes their job as well.
Great advice thank you.
I agree that it’s very important to find someone who likes their job and to set expectations early. I ended up prioritizing dating when I started getting burnt out at work and found my dream man, who encouraged me to leave that firm (and the government job that I thought would be easy lol), and now I have a job that a truly love (in house trial attorney) and the love of my life. Just don’t give up! And make sure to put yourself first.
This is comforting thank you!! I’m glad to hear you found your person
I’m guessing you’re early in your practice…
it gets much easier. The work will become routine. The questions will become familiar. After a few years you will come up for air. Attorneys do get married and have and raise children, while also having hobbies and traveling and working out and socializing.
Are you in the stage where they start needing to be driven places all the time at like 3:30 PM?
Try a marriage. There’s a reason why all of the partners are divorced
