Anyone from EYP…I’m applying to “Strategy & Transactions Working Capital Consultant/Senior”. I have the experience, six sigma, PMP etc stated in the description. How can I proactively position myself to earn the interview? I’m afraid I might get auto rejected because I have way more than 2 years experience, but I know industry experience is weighted different. Appreciate any help, insight, or anyone willing to chat. The goal is for it to get better and operate on less energy (which is another reason why DeepSeek is so disruptive) but sadly, yes, I rarely hear how bad AI is for the world as a talking point anymore.
I hadn’t heard this - thanks for sharing. I hope it does get to a point where it can operate on way less energy because no one seems to care.
Everything you are doing is bad for the planet.
Be the change. Quit your job, leave the city. Throw your phone away. Start your own farm and live off the land.
The planet will rid itself of us when it is ready. And the planet will be here long after humans are gone.
That’s cute. If that helps with the guilt you feel, cool.
I just hope you realize the hypocrisy in replying with that cartoon while simultaneously telling people they should do better.

I wouldn’t count on any policy connected reality for the next four years

If you think dems are retaking control in 4 years buckle up.
“But we don’t have to pay AI a salary or provide healthcare for it! Hooray! More money for C-suite and shareholders l!
I also wish people cared more about the planet than about business advantages and money but nope. Need policy or anyone who doesn’t embrace it falls behind
I'm waiting for someone very blissfully ignorant to make an "do good for the environment bc I wanna win a Cannes ad" using AI. And missing the entire Point. Then the idea is like chat gpt showing the future of world with dystopian ai photos
There should be The onion for advertising awards
fADweek:
"Indie agency run by hip white men end racism with their award winning print ads. They say they were inspired by their single black intern"
Me too but feels like you can’t say it.
The carbon footprint for shoots is pretty high.
Not even accounting for the jet fuel it takes to get to the shoots
Yes. Yes we are. Step back for an objective look. The ad industry being environmentally conscious was only a trend and the awards cycle for it has long passed. We’re currently squeezing the last drops from DEI as we move on to AI and whatever will be next after that

I’ll be honest - it never crossed my mind before your post, so thank you for posting. I googled and of course got this nice AI generated summary.
The xAI Colossus servers have moved to Tennessee to tap into the cheap juice from TVA hydropower. (Oh, the irony. Enough to make Ayn Rand raise an eyebrow, that’s for sure.)
Has anyone considered how horrible email and Microsoft Teams are for the environment? Can we start by getting rid of those first?
are you actually this dumb or are you doing a bit
I think it’s very interesting how ChatGPT rebranded with expansive images of natural landscapes while their service is so energy intensive.
Don't worry once AI moves from the growth model to the enshittification phase the costs are going to be so high that they are going to start asking you to only use it when it counts. I laugh thinking about the day that these services actually start having to charge to cover their costs...
AI is humanity’s worst invention
Unfortunately, it kills our planet, but on the bright side, it quickly produces absolute garbage creative!
Here’s my cynical response: Yes, AI is bad for the environment. And so are 90% of our daily activities. In fact, human reproduction is probably the worst factor working against the planet. The question is, What do we do with that knowledge?
