Should I shave my beard for MBA interviews?
Hi everyone, I have 2 years of experience in a service based industry as a Java developer, and I am eager to work hard and switch to a reputed product based organisation, but I am not getting proper time to study and practice data structures and algorithms, as I have so much to learn and understand things which are related to my project. Any suggestions would be appreciated and I'll try to inculcate it. Thanks in advance! Amazon Oracle Samsung Microsoft Cisco Salesforce Arcesium Uber

Your Director is an asshole. Escalate immediately and try to save your job and integrity. Never, ever, misrepresent yourself or deal with second-rate hacks that ask you to do so.
Never let anyone push you into lying. You can't get your integrity back once you lose it. It is not worth the goodwill you might garner with one leader and if it comes to it, your firm should always back you up for insisting on honesty.
You did right by telling truth.
If this happened the way you said you should definitely talk to your partner. Is it possible the director thought you had the cert ? Did he ever ask you to get it on an earlier occasion? Are you supposed to have that cert in your practice? None of that would excuse him intentionally asking you to lie but is useful context to consider.
You need to escalate...this director needa to be reprimanded or let go.
If he lied about on something as simple as this...them chances are he has lied on more important things.
I would ask for a roll off as soon as is possible and never work with this guy again.
Op...do you want to work in the cloud space? If so then get the developer cert at warp speed. Maybe even guilt the director into giving you a week to study for the test.
If you are not actively into cloud, then I would look to leave as the client is going to hammer you and eventually the director will roll you off and say you didn't have the skills...which will look bad on you
Well then, seems like studying is in my future....
Asks me how many 9's are there and I don't know the answer. Client probably hates me now,.......they used to like me before today but now he might question everything.
Do I actually get the cert or what?
Is it worth having?
Director lies > client questions me, I can't answer > I maybe found out
It's the Aws developer associate cert, don't know if it's worth it.
As you can probably tell, I'm panicking.
It’s honestly the easiest AWS cert to get
Are you in the old ITI practice? I have literally dealt with the same thing from a director twice before in that practice. Reported him both times to the Partner who leads the group. You got stuck in a bad spot but it is NEVER ok to misrepresent a factual position. Definitely should escalate to the partner who runs the sow
Get the cert - never lie to a client
