So I finally got a new job offer. I submitted my resignation letter to at my current job to everyone that needed to know that I’m leaving. All I got was “good luck”. Honestly after 12 years there and that’s all I got? I’m actually excited to leave now.

I’m relocating to the US from an international rotation to work in Galveston. I have never been to Texas and I am trying to find the best spot for my family to live in. So far from reading online it sounds like Pearland is a good option but I have not been able to validate that/ figure out what other options are out there. I would appreciate all advice:
1. Would you recommend living in Pearland?
2. What are other good areas to live in? Safe and would like to be less than 1 hour from Galveston.

Are any other area teachers ready to give up? I'm trying to stick it out but we've had so many teachers quit in my school already this year. The administration doesn't care.
