So I had my first ever google interview with the hiring manager (L6 non tech program manager) and I thought I did well, but I did not. Just received a note from the recruiter to tell me they won’t move forward 😥... should I continue to apply to similar roles or I have no chance pretty much (since I couldn’t clear first round?). 6 years in non-tech strategy & operation consulting experience.

Any ideas of the expected comp range for a strategy manager role in industry?

Did Blackstone halt recruitment and hiring? I know most firms have for now.

We Indians are so poor we can't think anything else except money. Whole Fishbowl is all about YOe and Salary. No one interested about if any company doing any innovation or not. B-Tech colleges put ads with Package and Campusing only. Almost 99% Indian YouTube thumbnail is like "5 lakh to 40 lakh", "Interview Experience in bracket 50Lpa" etc.. Hardly we can see Foreign Editorial things marked with Packages.

Feeling that I never land an offer from Google. I have tried many times and in my last try, I passed phone screening but recruiter ghosted me...
I am not sure what is wrong...
When I apply with referral, my resume always pass screening and shared with managers. But then no response.

I have two referrals for a position that I’m trying to apply to, however only one of the employee referrals is showing “attached” to the application. I accepted both employee referrals and they both show under my google account, but for the specific job application (which hasn’t been submitted yet) that one referral just won’t show up!!

Anyone know why or a solution?
