Although Amazon has instituted a hiring freeze and layoffs are probably on their way, I went through the loop for a security engineer position at AWS. Before I attended the final interviews, Amazon placed the hiring freeze and called me to ask if I wanted to go ahead or cancel my application. I decided do go ahead Right now I'm waiting for their response and the position I applied to changed from "under consideration" to "no longer under consideration". Thoughts?

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?

Is 190k TC? Thats below what a typical first year post mba mbb consultant makes.
In any case mbb consultants dont go work for startups to increase their cash pay. They go because they bet on the long term viability once the firm scales up
Make the call. I've had a few discussions with startups who had less than experienced leadership. Some actually were upfront and said they weren't sure what comp should be and asked what my target was. Have the conversation.

Its not like you need to decide on an offer anytime soon. Have the headhunter call and then evaluate the job, duties, and pay.
Btw, glassdoor is often unreliable, especially for bonus heavy or equity heavy roles. Equity should be a big part of the package. Speak with the headhunter to check before you decide that pay is too low. Drop out if it is, but don't decide prematurely.

If they’ve been with the startup a while since the early that’s why they have senior roles even if on the outside they wouldn’t qualify. More than a few well known startups have leadership that don’t come from traditional prestige backgrounds.
Huh? “Small company but the founder is a Harvard tech guy, build this in a few months..needs anyone who understands finance, ops, strategy” more like
Series D + 75mn + 10yoe+ 190k?? 🚩
I was very surprised by them calling out MBB and 10+ YOE and that comp amount.
and they want 10+ yrs if experience but when you look at Glassdoor; Directors top out at $190k. I can’t see anyone from MBB, D, or ACN with 10yrs experience talking a job that pays less then the what they make now. The role is in their Services group
Glassdoor often doesn’t show ISOs for startups. That number likely isn’t TC

It's not a startup if it already has 300 people and $75M in funding.
To be clear, you’re speculating on comp amount or the HH told you the amount?
