And parking fee increase ....

Not pissed lol just #sad that in a year when a firm actually does well our raises aren't enough to offset tax and health care cost increases.

like

Ummmm, pretty sure the firm had nothing to do with the increase in social security taxable income. And, sorry we can't absorb all the increases in healthcare costs.

To PWC2 we have been informed that changing healthcare plan has nothing to do with lowering pwc cost .. so why changing the health plan "lovely PPO" to horrible other plans

like

Also parking fee increase ... reason none ... changes in the parking ... none ... additional staff ... none they fired two kept only one ... a rude one ... so why pwc allow such increase... we can't negotiate !

P1: your post reads like one of those serial killer notes that are authored using letters scavenged from magazine articles.

FYI the social security max increases every year by govt mandate. I wasn't aware I could blame PwC for this so I rate this post informative and excellent.

like

Sooo....you're being forced to save more for retirement; and your healthcare costs went up because the market dictated so, and you're pissed at PWC?

PwC 3 - takes one to know one ☝️😝

OP it's very unlikely that you'll actually pay more for coverage this year, I've done the math for myself and others and odds are most people paying for the old top plan will pay less I'm the high deductible plan. Just a matter of when you pay.

Are there any executives out there who have recently negotiated with their CEO for an updated compensation package? I know I'm being underpaid as a CFO who has also handled all of the HR responsibilities for the past 3 years. Currently at $130K with $30K bonus at the end of the year. I don't take the insurance through the company either. Currently no 401K match program available.

I have offers from both United Health Group and Atlassian for a Senior Financial Analyst position. Similar Comp (Atlassian slightly higher due to stock options). Coming from another healthcare company as a SFA, does anyone have experience at either company? In the long term, does Atlassian look better on a resume/work experience due to the Tech/Software space? Seems like their culture is great, but a much higher work load due to the nature of the company. Thanks! Happy to answer DM's too

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”. Now I’m having anxiety searching for a job. I don’t think I want to sell anymore yet every single recruiter I interview with says I should, that I have a “salesperson mentality”. I’m burnt out. Has anyone else felt this way? How did handle it? Is there a different career path I can take or am I destined to sell insurance forever?

How do people save for a down payment on a house? My SO and I make a combined 130k salary, currently rent a 1br apt for $2250/mo, have other debts of 600/mo and 15k in savings. Neither of us have been able to save much since we started to rent the apt (6 months ago). I want to stop "wasting" money on rent and build equity in a home, lay down roots, start a family, but I feel I/we will never be able to save enough for a down payment (NY prices, 400-500k). Has anyone else gone back to relying more on public transportation with the surging Uber / Lyft prices.
