This is the eternal question. Hate what I do at agency, the only thing I can imagine being worse is advancing to the next title up (money notwithstanding), and all the while every client marketing team I deal with these days feels at turns like they either play things painfully safe and have zero ambition to do anything interesting, or are anxiety-riddled to the hilt, being crushed by internal pressures and never ending budget reductions.
Been in the game a minute and things were not always like this.
I would like to figure that out too. Going brand side seems like the way to go but those roles are so rare and mostly junior titles. Agency experience doesn’t really seem to matter all that much to them.
