Amazon’s hybrid model announced: thoughts ?

Is it expected that people who exit from MBB/Deloitte at post mba levels (PL/EM/M) take paycuts when going to industry? (non FAANG, PE). I'm In process at multiple internal consulting/strategy groups who say the paycut is part of the trade-off for less hours/no travel.

But as a female🐠, I can't discern whether this is just a negotiation tactic. Mentors have told me never take less pay.

For reference, this is at a comparable industry equivalent level (not clear up/down)

For any of you real estate investors, what tools or sources did you learn from when getting started. Can’t find a mentor currently so want to find some highly recommended books or videos. Anyone won the battle when being told you have to return to office but you want to stay remote? Not particularly interested in compromising considering I’ve been remote my entire tenure here, but they’re really trying to force it on us. All tips welcome. Background: no one on my working team lives in the same office, I’m just at the US HQ.

Email from leadership last week. We can go back as soon as 7/5 with permission. Had to let our boss know. Phase 1 will begin in July and go through end of Sept, provided schools are re opened. Future phases will be announced at a later date. So, I guess at this point in time, things are still up in the air.

I have a friend at IBM who let me know they will be hybrid, only in office as needed. Not sure when that new policy is starting though
