I've had opportunities turn up just because I happened to run into someone at the right time. It's one of those things you can't really plan for, except that you can always be ready to capitalize on such things when they occur. I'm always fascinated by people talking of the idea of synchronicity and how little coincidences have so much to do with life. And a lot of that talk always seems to center on the idea that synchronicity happens, but only if you're open to it happening.
Yes! I really connect with that idea, being open and ready makes such a difference. I’ve had similar moments where a small, random interaction led to something bigger, and looking back it feels like pure synchronicity!
In my last job, I just got a sideways promotion where they turned my role into a new one and I was able to use that new job to jump into a new role at a new company.
That’s such a smart move, sometimes those sideways steps open up way more than we expect. Love that you used it as a launchpad into something new!
This is so true. I have met people for a simple coffee chat that ended up being crucial in my career growth. You never know who you are going to meet.
Absolutely, those casual catch-ups can end up being career-defining. It’s a great reminder to stay open and curious, even in the small moments.
I had this recently- I called someone regarding work that I thought would never happen and how I’m employed on a large scale movie for the rest of the year!
Wow! That's amazing
