Sometimes I wonder how impatient people have become with customer service. A customer called to close his credit card, and I had to play a mandatory disclosure. The moment I started, he hung up. Thinking it was a poor connection, I called back, but he bluntly said he didn’t want to hear anything 'just close the card' I explained I couldn’t skip the procedure, and he hung up again. It’s frustrating how some expect things done only their way, ignoring basic policies.

Has anyone gotten matched to Delta diamond from EP or 1K? In our status match program it shows platinum as the highest tier for matching. Any tricks?

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.
