I am an Senior iOS developer. YOE is 8.5. Currently getting 13 LPA. Getting promotion in a month with 25 to 30 percent hike which comes nearly 16.8 LPA. I cannot able to relocate now due to family dependency reasons. I heard iOS developer salary market is good. I am having a very good work life balance in the current company. I am in a confusion. I am joining EY GDS next month. I have heard a lot about hectic work hours in EY and no work life balance. Is it true? If yes, how many hrs working should we expect in a day to be mentally prepared.

When negotiating, how much above minimum salary would you ask for? I don’t want them to rule me out altogether, but also don’t want to sell myself short.

I recently switched to a developer role in a product based company from a support engineer for past 4 years in a service based company. I got a good hike as well.
