I'm low $200ks, just finished my first year as SM. I was recruited from a small consulting firm. Consecutive 5 ratings at Manager and Senior Manager. 8.5 years, all consulting. No MBA, Chicago. IT, but not in big A Advisory. Principal tracked, which is what really matters. By SM3, I would expect a performing (BOB > $2M, margin 45%+) SM to be in the mid to high $200ks and on their way to PP.
I would expect with OP's experience for him/her to be in the mid-$100ks and definitely a manager, unless there are performance issues.
Gotta get to the MBA pay first. 110 is too low.
Where did you get your MBA? Typically you would get the post MBA salary if you got it from a target school. I’d be surprised if they gave you M if EY hasn’t put you there yet. More likely to be SC but you’d join mid-year so Promotion could be hard for 2018, might have to wait until 2019
It’s going to be dependent on what you make now and/or what skills you have and/or how well you negotiate. Too little information.
@D1 I make 110K. I'm pretty much confident about my skills and education. Any tips how to pitch for Manager? Should I tell the recruiter about my title expectations, or wait till I interview on site? PS: a D recruiter reaches out to me.
Yeah, I don't understand your experience to comp. I wish my seniors had half your experience. I'm at EY too btw.
@SM1 - so what's a good pay for a senior manager in IT advisory
Sounds like MBA at not a target school. They will bring you in as a SC but you could be up for M quickly

OP - any additional input?
