started as a technical consultant at a software company recently and it’s being treated much more as a sales role than a consulting role + the managements expectations are archaic. consistent unpaid overtime, they don’t like wfh even though they offer it as part of the deal, the amount of work you do isn’t recognised at all just the hours you’re in. NGL bit of a toxic environment, high turnover, barely existing incentives to work hard. Have any of you been through something similar? Any advice?

When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area. Now that my year-end review is coming up, how do I ask my company for a significant pay raise (not just a 2-5% inflation-matching raise)?

I've been offered for Engineering expert position at Novartis India. I've received offer letter 2 weeks back and my DOJ is updated to Mid December. I told the HR that my current company's last working day is on mid January and resend the offer letter with mid Jan as my DOJ. But they told that they can send the revised offer letter 3 weeks before the joining date.
Is this normal process? Has anyone gone through similar experience?
