Is TechM fire people ?
Wow. McKinsey, which has the biggest public sector presence of the MBB, really hasn't been doing too hot at all in the sector.
Its presence is tiny and it's gotten even smaller. Meanwhile it's bungling whatever opportunities it's getting.

If process is the only issue and you love the team, I’d try to talk to some people to see if you can add efficiencies. But be careful - if you can’t get on top of your day to day and you don’t see that changing due to process, it’s easy to get burnt out and that’s harder to bounce back from when you add on having to search for new roles.
If it helps, I’ve been downsized twice since COVID and basically interviewed for 3 years straight, and exactly 1 person in all that time asked me about the shorter tenure roles on my resume. So if you’re worried about what 6 months vs 1+ year(s) looks like, don’t let that be the thing to stop you from moving on!
I appreciate this insight! I feel like our industry allows for some flux so I'm not too worried if I did shop around.
Can you talk with your Account Director or Director of Client Management? We love to hear efficient suggestions from new people. Maybe you can make a positive change?!
Yeah, I feel that is my next step, I do think I can provide positive change! Just so many talks about the process is exhausting I can't get a grip on my day to day. on top of that I took lower pay (after being laid off) and it's a hybrid situation. So overall feeling pretty stuck, needed the money tho so all in all thankful.. I suppose.
Either way, start looking. Market is slow, it might be another 6 months before a solid exit offer
Honestly - just leave if you get the opportunity. I felt this way after a few months at my current agency and I wish I left before it became so hard to find a new position. I’ve felt stuck for too long. It won’t get better.
Pause and wait it out. Job market is SO bad.
I wouldn’t leave a place because of the process if you like everything else about it…
