BCG final round interview in a week. Any tips on what to expect in a partner level conversation?
- how is it different than the round 1 experience?
- how important is the casing component? I'm doing pretty well, but not perfect. Friends have been eating me 8/10, with the need to improve structure and be more top down in my communication. I'm wondering what I can do to improve that in a week and if that will be a deal breaker on interview day?

This sounds...like an interesting role. I don't know much but following this thread out of curiosity. I think it's a lot of firefighting/preventative work
Yes, apparently it's one of the less popular service lines in the big4 firms. I could hardly find anything in the forums about it, though there is marketing material put out by the firms. The few people in it (from a quick review of LinkedIn) are lawyers who are mainly former tax court clerks/IRS attorneys.
Good WLB comparatively and often well-liked teams being majority former IRS or counsel. Typically top heavy so a good learning opportunity. They handle everything from audits and Appeals to collections, penalties, check the box, EIN issues, return filing issues, PLRs, 9100 relief, or other IRS practice and procedure with the service centers. Not as highly compensated as M&A or International but still do well.
There is a lot of research and writing if your work involves more then practice and procedure. KPMG has good people in that group. Technically, you get exposed to a lot of different areas of tax to be a mile wide and an inch deep.
