Qn about SPG platinum breakfast amenity - is it valid only once during the stay or for each day? I'm told I can use it only once during the stay 🤷🏻‍♂️

Traveling for a wedding this summer and the only SPG location is only available for 1 of 2 nights. Only other good hotel is a Hilton but have no status. How bad is Hilton with not status?
