Hi all, I am working at Natwest Group RBS and I have recently applied for Product Manager Role(gurgaon) in Gartner. How much CTC I should ask and what is the general hike and bonus they give on yearly basis and can someone provide some insights on work life balance and leave policy?

Did anyone here move to tech from consulting?
Hi All, My sister has done Computer Science engineering Bachelor degree and has 5 years of work experience in India. She is applying for MBA at https://www.kenan-flagler.unc.edu/programs/mba/full-time-mba/ and https://kelley.iu.edu/programs/full-time-mba/academics/majors-minors/marketing.html. Her overall goal is to get into Software Product management. Any suggestions if any of these MBA’s can open path in the desired space or if she is better of doing an MS in Comp engg. to further develop deeper Technology skills. Thanks

Just depends on your goals in my opinion. If you want to end up in tech strategy anyway, just go straight to it. However, can be harder to climb the ladder going straight to industry. MBB consulting will likely, but not guaranteed, set you up for more long term success, and will open more doors. However, if you get pigeon holed into non-tech projects, may be harder to exit into tech.
Get the offers and compare pay first.
If you get both, decide based on this: if you plan to exit to tech in 2-4 years anyway, just take tech. A few years from now, faang and any other tech firm will like experience at Adobe/Bytedance more than a few years of random MBB stuff, so doing 2 years at tech firm A then jumping to another is still valid, and easier than doing so from MBB.
If you want to work your way up to partner, or you don't care about working in tech in particular, then pick MBB.
Btw, be careful about where you do strategy. Cisco might not have the same tech halo as Adobe or Tiktok. Networking equipment manufacturing vs social media ads vs enterprise software can lead to different exits.
