Bordeaux is awesome. Def head out into wine country. Hire a car, drive east. Lots of beautiful little/mid-sized towns.

If you go to Burgundy - get a car and drive - here’s a great little place to stay in the way

I loved Burgundy - wine tastings were very good, couple of beautiful sites to see to mix it up Beaune is is lovely as are Fontenay Abbey and Semur-en-Auxois. Reims, center of the Champagne region, is worth considering - easy to do in a day.
Bordeaux is usually a better experience given that the vineyards are owned by one chateau versus hundreds of families.
