Tax season always makes me pause and reflect on how I want to spend my time and energy. I’ve learned that using the right tools (or getting the right help) can reduce stress and free me up to focus on what matters most. I’ll probably use TurboTax again this year.

What tax software or service do you use, and why has it worked well for you?

I keep watching Schitt's Creek reruns now and then. It makes me feel warm and mushy, but also super lonely. So tired of being perpetually single. What’s the going rate for a commercial senior underwriting role and what companies have you found to be most enjoyable with a solid work life balance? Personally love where I’m at, but curious to see what else is out there.

I’ve been offered a reporting consultant job for less than 60k and I bring 9+ years of experience to the role. They should be offering more. I don’t want to settle but I don’t want to miss an opportunity to move. Reporting consultants should start at $65k per recruiting sites. Any advice? How can I get HR/recruiters to offer more? TIA

currently tossing up between staying at a global company (who is in the process of some positive changes) with an amazing manager who supports my career and flexible working … however comes with the inherit issues that come with a long standing global company

compared with a role at a smaller mga, higher salary (around 30%) more , more visibility career wise and some great employee benefits , management seem to be supportive and low staff turnover

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?
