Tfw you spend days negotiating in good faith with OC who claims they have to stick with onerous, non-market clauses (heavily skewed in their favor) as a matter of internal policy only to find out from an outside party who regularly works opposite them that they do not in fact use that language as a matter of policy...to make things more bizarre OC is the one who needs to deal to go through but thinks they can play dumb to take advantage of a smaller player... 😑

Hey, I have been trying to land on a job since march and only been facing rejections. I will be graduating in the month of december and I have no offer in hand. I have tried referrals, connecting with the recruiters updating my resume every now and then but nothing seems to be working for me. I dont know where I am going wrong or what I must do.

I have recently received an offer from HSBC for Data Engineer profile. The designation offered is Senior Analyst- Information Management. They said that it is a techno functional role. Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side. Out of curiosity and to test the market, I interviewed at a FAANG. Did not get the job, but found out TC was 350k, significantly higher than my TC 230k.
