The last month has been crazy! In a busy work environment where deadlines and personalities clash, how do you get your team to handle disagreements in ways that spark new ideas, rather than just more tension? Any stories you’re willing to share from your own experience?

Instead of letting things stew, I bring my team together for short “retrospective” sessions right after major deadlines or tense moments. Pretty much use this time not to blame, but to dissect what happened and brainstorm how disagreements could lead to progress. This one time there was a huge clash between two strong personalities on my team, and when we broke it down together, it sparked a creative solution we wouldn’t have hit otherwise.

We are seeing more pushback from employees on working 40 hours. We offer flexibility (wfh), 11 holidays and another 3 wks PTO. Seems like a good gig, I think, at 40-45 hrs. Anyone seeing this too?

Hi All, I’m thinking about getting certified in change management but not sure if I should go the Prosci route or CCMP route. CCMP is a lot cheaper compared to Prosci but would it measure up just the same?

I guess it would be similar to the discussion of the SHRM-SCP vs SPHR.

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?
