My advice is to work the steps, step 4 can help you figure out why you said those things and can help you move toward forgiving yourself if it's weighing you down. I did not find that time healed my wounds. I did find that the program helped me heal alot of them that I'd hauled around on rattling in my head for years.
Agreed on steps and Step 4 and 5 specifically. I just did those two myself and am now on 6/7. I’d also see if you can do therapy - what exactly are you hearing at work? Sounds a bit like paranoia (no judgment, just an observation).
In my experience time alone does not heal the alcoholic mind and heart, what time alone heals is the body and ego. If you don't very intentionally work on yourself and learn how to live sober, you are very likely to end up in a situation where drinking again seems like a good idea or becomes the only option to feel relief.
Alcoholics Anonymous is what worked for me, and it continues to help me get through tough times well into being physically sober.

Are you in a 12-Step program or just “off the sauce”?
