PwC India Hi Folks, I left my stable job at Deloitte USI and moved to Germany for a better job. But my mom had a major health issue and I'm planning to travel back to India to support her as I'm a single child. I'm working in one of the top organisation in Germany with a base of 90k euro and looking for good opportunities in India. Good or bad time to head out on parental leave?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

I would do it if there’s a reasonable layover time since it’s such a big price difference. Only minor drawbacks are having to recheck luggage and it’s “your fault” if you miss the second flight as opposed to “their fault” so they may not hold plane, get you on another flight for free, etc.
It’s actually not your fault if the second flight is delayed if you’re coming in on their metal or partner metal. No issue and they can usually check bags all the way anyway.
It’s called end-on-end ticketing. It’s fine to do. The fare rules may even allow both segments to be on the same ticket with individual fares for each segment, rather than the though fare, if the fare rules allow end-on-End ticketing. Some online travel agents may price is with two end-on-end fares if you feel like experimenting to have it on one ticket
Better to ask BCD
Can you go to the airlines website and do a multi city itinerary to get the same price? Segment 1: DCA-ATL, Segment 2: ATL-MBJ. Might be worth a try
Good idea from D1. Try doing a multi city search on Delta.com and you may be able to get both sectors on a single ticket at the combination of the two fares.
Yes but beware if the first leg is delayed and causes you to miss your second leg then that’s likely on you. Different bookings so they’re unaware of the connection and are therefore not responsible
Yes?
I don't know. Just a huge price difference. Just nervous to purchase.
You get to go to Montego Bay for work?
Lol. No
While DL technically has no obligation to re-accommodate you if you’re traveling on two tickets and the first sector is delayed, in practice I’ve never know of an instance where they won’t. They’ll also almost certainly check your bags all the way through as well if you advise the check in agent of your final destination and give him or her the second PNR. Again, may actually be possible to have both fares on the same ticket as well, and then there’s no question that they have to accommodate you and through check bags
You’ll be fine checking a bag through. But try pricing it on a few different sites (Delta.com, Expedia, AMEX travel, kayak). Depending on the GDS, some might price it end-to-End with two fares. You could also try calling a travel agent and ask them to price it as an end-to-end combination rather than a through fare on a single ticket. If you want to DM me details, I can pull the fare rules and see if they permit end-on-End ticketing
Kudos to you for figuring out a better deal.
