There is an opportunity which is a 6 month contracting gig with PWC working with a large US bank remotely in US. The director tried to sell it to me that there might be oppportunities at the end of the 6 months with PWC or the bank because it is a big project - but it would be a big risk because I might not have anything in 6 months time and be back in the same position as I am now which is unemployed. I have a full time offer in industry in another country away from family. Thoughts?

I would say anything beyond what’s in your contract should not be considered in making your decision. they’re under no obligation to honor anything they said that isn’t written down.

I think I’m on the same project. This project about to be looooooonnnngggg

Man that’s a tough decision

The role would be through “Talent Exchange” which is where we pull in independent consultants to our projects. You would be the first to be cut and have no guarantee of any opportunities afterward.
I’ve seen a few cases where we pull in high powered SMEs and drain their knowledge and roll them off ASAP.

I’d stay away personally. YMMV
