We don’t really get snow, but do have some ice and occasional heavy freezes.

-cover faucets
-shut off and drain sprinkler systems
-if you have a pool ensure the freeze guard is on
-drip faucets (I recommend both hot and cold)
-cover any non-insulated pipes if applicable (could be in the garage or attic)

Optional:
-invest in a home generator for essentials (we have had rolling outages in years past)

Don’t forget milk, eggs, toilet paper, and waters

Insulated faucet cover for outside.
Shovel for the driveway
Park in your garage

I really need recommendations. I want to replace the through-the-wall AC units in my condo. Anyone buy ones you really like? Or rent an apartment and are happy with your (newer) AC units?

Tried doing research online but reviews are all over the place. And would love firsthand recommendations.

Starting Intermittent Fasting meets elimination diet meets 40 days meat+veggie+fruit diet in consultation with a nutritionist + a lifestyle change program.

I'm not used to IF and had coffee with coconut oil this morning. Thought I was going to pass out since I waited until 11 to eat.

Thinking about adjusting starting to eat at 9:30/10 tomorrow instead.

No questions, just this is going to be something new to get used to.

Considering a jump from Chicago to New York. I truly love living in Chicago and how far this salary gets me but I definitely want to try to make it in New York.

The only problem is my significant other has a lot of negative opinions about New York. I ultimately want to return to DC but I feel like a few good years in New York would be really good for me. In terms of a place to live, where in Manhattan can I find a place that's similar to River North in Chicago?

Looking for honest opinions: would you trust career advice from someone who doesn’t necessarily have a background in career coaching but has always been “that friend” that everyone calls for career advice, resumes, salary negotiations etc?
I have a long background in management and have been very successful in climbing the ladder but I would love to start career coaching on the side. Any feedback is helpful!

Hey Dallas folks!

I want to get to know the local private companies. I worked at a private company with 2-3k employees before my MBA. They had an amazing culture, but limited progression opportunities. I'm thinking about looking for a smaller company (couple hundred to couple thousand employees) in the Dallas area and looking to find an amazing culture.

Anyone have recommendations on companies with great cultures in the Dallas/north of Dallas areas? (I live in the Plano/Allen/Mckinney area)

Texas drivers…honest question. Why, why in tf do people just camp in the left lane? I’m talking doing maybe 5 mph over the limit in the left lane when people want to go faster and they can get over??
