I just finished interviewing with Aetna/CVS for a Analytics consultant role in NYC. I will most probably get the job. With 2-3 years of experience what’s the salary range (base+add benefits) i should ask for? In my initial call with recruiter i gave a lower estimate of my expected salary.
Is there generally a penalty if you give your resignation while you’re out on short term disability or FMLA? My employee handbook doesn’t say anything and HR won’t give me any info. I don’t want to get an unexpected letter telling me I owe back healthcare or salary costs because I quit before my leave claim was officially over.
It's been 20days I hv joined epam but didn't received bgv status. Two days left in salary. Will I get my joining Bonus?

Hey everybody, a few colleagues from BCG are launching an NFT collection that is looking to celebrate (and also joke about) the consulting lifestyle. The art is awesome and they have a lot of the large meme pages lined up to help with their marketing shortly, so wanted to share in case anyone would love to follow them.

A question to those of you with children:: From a career/equity in the workspace perspective, I find it really challenging that my children seem to be more attached to me than to my husband. I honestly think that the children themselves are one of the main factors why it‘s hard for women to pursue a career. I have a supportive husband, supportive company, supportive friends and family etc. It‘s the children themselves who ask: „Mom, why can’t you stay at home or work part-time.. (to be cont‘d)
My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?
What was the best part of your week?
How can I find product manager mentors? I have been a PM for 4 years, and it’s been difficult to build a network of PMs I can relate with or feel comfortable enough to be a mentor or advocate. Usually everyone is so busy.

What has more traction right now - B2B commerce or B2C commerce? Initial thought is B2B commerce as I figure SF traditionally is leveraged for B2B sales. I would imagine B2C could have a higher upside I’m not sure it’s all that connected to SF at the moment.
What are AFS’s education benefits - do they provide free udemy / learning tree accounts for self study?

Additional Posts in Career Pivot
I am just between a career pivot and I need some advice. I graduated in Biochemistry near the top of my class with an expectation to go into medicine so I had been working in clinical research. But I decided otherwise and want to go into business now, as an analyst. I have some logistics experience and getting the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification but I need to start a new role ASAP. What is the best way to proceed? (I don't even know how to align my resume for this pivot...)
I’m currently a CPA. I am looking for a career transition with a high ceiling that pays very well. I don’t care what it is I just want to guarantee that I can take care of my family.
I’m 4 months into a job and company I cannot see myself working for long term. My morals don’t bode well with theirs. I was not set up for success and continue to receive pushback and improper guidance when seeking advice to help them advance their company goals. I fear the cycle will repeat with another toxic environment if I leave this one. Feels like slow sinking quicksand. Any else going through it too? Is it bad to leave this early?
Anyone know of any mid level mgmt careers that 20 years of retail Asset Protection/Investigations/Safety Management skills and experience would transfer well into?
2 years ago I left Accounting and got a job as a Senior Financial Applications Analyst. Now I am confused on what my career path should be. It’s not accounting and it’s not IT but more in between that works primarily with the accounting software used. I don’t code it is basically a bridge between accounting and IT. Their main pitch was that they needed someone who understood accounting because regular IT people can’t think that way. What Types of jobs are available for me out there?
I am thinking about applying at Amazon or other FAANG companies. Currently working at one of the largest CPG organizations. I am at mid 30 and kind of bored in CPG. The culture is very laid back. Never worked in tech but at this point kind of inclined towards some type of non-tech program manager role in Amazon. Did anyone moved from CPG to tech, specifically at Amazon?
I recently started a job in sales. The role is way more technical then expected and I want transition back into recruiting. My current company just opened up a recruiter position. Any advice/ word of wisdom on how I can go about starting this conversation internally to make the transition. Do I talk to my current manager first or the hr manager?
Looking to transition jobs/industry and I’m working on the job experience section of my LinkedIn profile. I’ve been in one role for 10+ years with ever increasing autonomy and responsibilities but no official title change. Would it be an issue to split up the experience bullets into “associate”, “staff”, “senior”? And add “senior” to the position title? Obviously, I want to do this correctly/honestly and am just trying to organize the list to show the growth within the position.
Looking to move from HR to HR data analytics. Any tips? I have experience with very small data sets, but want to get my hands on SQL, Tableau, Python, etc. and these are not used in my current role. I’d love any guidance or resources you may have!
I'm currently in a BDR role but have been studying for my PSM and getting ready to take that test soon. Does anyone have any advice for how to pivot from sales to being a Scrum Master? It seems everyone wants a SM to have 3 to 5 plus experience to even look at your resume.
Looking for ideas for economics/consulting opportunities. PhD in economics and 20 yrs teaching economics and finance, along with numerous publications during that time. Looking to pivot from academia to a professional/consultant position. Suggestions for roles and/or firms?
Any advice for transitioning from an operations-heavy role to a high level project manager type role? I currently work in quality at a pharma company and am really trying to get a remote job and there seem to be way more PM positions that are remote. I’ve managed a fair number of projects in my role just not as a formal PM.
I see different thoughts about online certifications and boot camps if you don’t have experience. Any thoughts? Also what’s the best way to break into tech?
[Freelance VS Employee]
I’m in the same company since 4 years and now I feel I need a change (and a raise lol). I’d like to be involved in new projects where I can develop new skills. It’s like I know I can do better then this and there’s a world to discover and I’m afraid I’m missing it.
Still, my coworkers are great and I would be sorry to leave a company like this. What can I do? Is it possible to be a freelance while you are still an employee? What about work life balance?
What sector of tech should I get into if I’m not much of a math person? Wanting to change careers!
What’s the best way for experienced professionals to cross over in consulting? I have 15 years experience in supply chain management from demand planning to sourcing (excluding warehousing) and 12 years military leadership plus 8 years corporate leadership experience. I’d like to move to management consulting or strategic supply chain consulting. Any tips on a good way to do that?
I was let go from my company yesterday. 10.5 years of my life given to them and no explanation. My position has been eliminated. I’m thinking maybe I should go in a different direction. I’m feeling very jaded. Any advice?
I interviewed for a job I’m over qualified for, preformed outstanding in the interview and still did not get it. Pretty sure I was going to be the only black person in the office. Plus I was taking 80k less than what it was posted for. (State Gov) #BlackJobSeekerStruggles 😂😂😂 (sometimes you have to laugh)
Following because I don't have the answers
What about the PO/Pm track are you trying to leave behind and what did you like apart from salary? How long have you been practicing?
Short answer: working 70 hours/week, constant uphill fight to retain resources, always cutting budget corners, and generally burnt out. I thought more money would help me get by, but is there a better way to earn a living? All PMs can’t be burning midnight oil all the time, can they?
