Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

If you have to give it up, then please don't.
My brother got a dog recently. And I can say it will suck for you to let it go. It will suck for the dog a LOT more.
Don't get it if you can't take care of it for life. Dogs get super attached to their humans. It'll be devastating for the dog.
Please don't get if you don't want to keep for long term. 😔
Believe me giving up a dog is a pain no one should have to go through. Its as bad as giving up your baby. If you are not a dog person then just don't get a dog. But if there is even a tiny chance that you get attached to other living beings then get a dog and consider it a lifelong commitment.
Please don’t. You still have so many people in your life but a dog only has YOU. I lost mine 7 years back when my parents and I went to my college for counselling. I had a golden, we had left him in a really good crèche and were gone only for 2 days. He died on the second night, cause of death unknown. Probably couldn’t survive in the isolation. I have vouched to get a pet only when I quit my job after a few years down the line and have all the time in the world to spend with him. ❤️
