Books I would recommend official Sybex, Sybex practice tests, and 11th hour.
Other resources I would recommend Cybrary’s Kelly Handerhan’s video series, and some sort of question app on your phone.
I took two weeks off work to knock it out last year with only 3 years of experience and the method I used was:
1. Watch the Kelly videos and just absorb.
2. Watch the Kelly videos and take notes outline style on every other line.
3. Read the 11th hour book and take notes on the same outline I made while watching Kelly. Add any new topics that weren’t included in the Kelly videos.
4. Do a Sybex practice test. Identify my weakest domain and start with that chapter, further adding more details to my outline. Do the practice questions for each chapter.
5. After making it through entire sybex book, rewrite my outline so it’s nice and neat. Mine ended up being about 60 pages hand written.
6. Practice test, and focus on studying the concepts I struggle with. Really understand why I got any question wrong.
7. Day before test watch CISSP Kirk v Spock video.
8. All throughout the above be doing practice questions on my phone when I was commuting, waiting in line, etc.
I found the test to be far harder than I anticipated based off the practice questions - but I was still prepared to pass it with my prep above.
Thank you so much! Would you mind sharing your notes? I’m following your process too.
I would go on Cybrary and take Kelly H. taught class for free. It’s infamous. So detailed and helpful. Also gives book suggestion there!
I didn't even read the book I bought - just went in, took it, finished in under 3 hours, and passed

His is about the worst advice ever. 🙄
You have to know the isc2 way. In addition, if you have a technical background it makes it that much harder. You have to shift your mind to be technical
