I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA

Most firms here ask you what salary you are looking for in your next job. I'd try and divert questions in your current pay if not conducive. Better to hide than lie about it :) I feel your pain though. I needed sponsorship and always felt like I didn't deserve full pay because of the additional burden of sponsorship. Things have changed now though, sponsoring is a lot easier.
Lots of companies ask me as well about current salaries. I’ve not provided
That said, why get lowballed ?
It’s the cost of doing business. If you are as competent as the others in the team, they will have to pay you accordingly, since that’s how much they value you.
Don’t let firms low ball you. I was in a similar situation and I didn’t always perform my best because I knew i wasn’t being valued
I can understand your pain. I’m also come from the same background. I guess the better way is to ask the recuiter upfront what is the budget for the open position before he asks you about your salary. In this way you may not be just restricting yourself with just 20%raise.
I mean i ask them and 80%of the time they do disclose, if they don’t I tell them how much I’m expecting so then and there it’s a go no-go for them and you dont waste time
I can see the range in other companies, between 60-80k... Role Financial IT Business Analyst!

I can tell you from experience that ACN didn't lowball you specifically. Its the kind of money they pay for a BA role. It feels like lowball coz of 12YOE but then you should aim for a Manager/SM role.
Thank you all, glimmer of hope. I don't want to confine myself with 10-20% hike on top of 50k.. It will be never ending :(
Are you in ACN or KPMG?
