A satire account

like

I mean, it is kind of wild that people have to resort to satire for engagement instead of creating quality content… even more wild that some people don’t recognize it’s satire 😂

I’ve seen this account a few times and it took me a while to realize it’s satire lol! I had no idea people used linked in to post satire content. This is totally new to me because that’s not what the platform is for. Lol still funny but just had no idea 😂

like

It's satire, and I welcome it because if LinkedIn wants to try to be social media, it has to turn into social media, including trolling since bullying already exists

like

Well, I agree that she's a results-oriented person! I still wouldn't want her anywhere near me!

This is clearly satire….

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.

This whole thing is cringe - how proposed after forcing employees to make a fake commercial and attend, calling himself rainmaker, the formatting. Image of the text in comments.

If only he just made a post being excited about being engaged (still not for LinkedIn, but whatever).

There really is such a direct correlation between cringey title and cringey posts.

Before LinkedIn...to me, the king of professional cringey was Shingy. Do you guys remember him? He was aol's overpaid "digital prophet" and got paid to visit companies at lunchtime and babble the same kind of nonsense we now call "LinkedIn cringe".

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

Is it just me or do 90% of the jobs being laid off by big tech sound made up? Many job descriptions with multiple bullet points that all kinda revolve around the same idea. One of my buddies works for a big IT company and literally just sits on meetings all day. No one really contributing to anything other than agreeing to whatever the speaker is saying. Are these kind of jobs finally being exposed? Six figure employees getting paid to sit and bounce ideas off each other?

As I got to the interview room there was a large executive chair facing away from me. The chair turned and on top was a mirror. When looking in the mirror I could see the cat. I am the cat.
