Hi, here are a few ideas:
1. Network with SEO folks on LinkedIn, especially in-house ones. They’re usually working with and /or looking for freelance writers.
2. Write for SEO publications like SEJ, SEL, Moz, etc. SEOs will reach out to you from your author profile.
3. Share SEO content writing and optimization tips and your experience on your LI profile with the right hash tags. You’ll automatically attract traction and inbound leads.
4. Find some interesting content projects on upwork and build your portfolio. Publish this portfolio with links on your personal website.
5. Blog on your personal website, prompt visitors to subscribe to your blog, and overtime you’ll see leads come in, as visitors find value in your content.
6. If you’re only looking for light work on the side, skip all of the above and reach out to digital marketing agencies in your area with your portfolio and some references.
Hope that helps!
