ABSOLUTELY!!! 8hrs of work is enough! Not unless it's really important to do overtime.
It's fine if it's once in a while, but it should never become the norm. Quick way to burn people out and lose top talent.
Yes absolutely. I am technical lead and I always ask my subordinates to work not more than 7 hours. Eventually at times it gets to nine hours but that's max. I don't like working for more than 7 hours and I also encourage my subordinates to do the same.
7 hours work is a lot of work. Most of the times we wind up within 6 hours / 6 and half hours
I agree but I also think managers and team leads are selfish - they are trying to fulfill their own requirements and look good, and that means putting the team in these positions in order to protect themselves
Not really and not everyone. See, everyone is selfish. And everyone wants growth. But that shouldn't be at the cost of compromising the teammates, whether senior or junior. There's always a way that can benifit all.
