Anyone here a US citizen who chose to leave in favor of London? I’m American but husband is European. He wants to return for the social culture of Europe but I just get traumatized by the pay in London and almost equally high cost of living as in tier 1 USA cities. I know money isn’t everything but hoping to hear about other Americans experiences . Thank you!
I lead a very small team. One of my employees was recently upset that a teammate was promoted, despite them being here longer. They are interested to get promoted themselves. This person's review is coming up and I really don't want to promote them. I don't think they are there yet, despite tenure. Someone could argue they are, though, suppose. If I don't promote in this round, they'll likely quit. I'm so torn on this. Would you stick to growth markers or promote for the sake of culture?
Anyone here from the Google office in Detroit? Seeing a job I’m qualified for and I’m wondering what the culture of the office is like. It seems like a small office compared to other Google offices I’ve seen? Does it have a cafeteria with free lunch like the Ann Arbor office? 😉
Interesting article. Still largely against this kind of arrangements – probably because of my past and the fact that viscerally scared of being taken advantage of. That said, the article does nuance the whole topic. https://www.anothermanmag.com/life-culture/11193/the-secret-life-of-gay-sugar-babies
Hello People! I am interested in knowing about the work culture and growth in CACTUS COMMUNICATION and PREMIER RESEARCH (Bangalore). It would be wonderful if anybody can throw some light on their experience with the organisations.
Does anyone have experience with NRI? They're hiring in Singapore, keen to understand fit. Is culture traditional Japanese? Ie hierarchical, staying in office til boss leaves, post work socialising
Plan on moving to Dallas Texas next year. Currently with Deloitte MTS team and will be a senior at that time. Im wondering how the culture of the office is there? Also, how is the culture of the other firms. Im not opposed to moving firms. Just finished working three 80 hour weeks, so that would be a big plus to find a team where that is not expected on a regular basis!

Have a call on Friday with the CEO of an environmental entrepreneurship non-profit. It could lead to a professional opportunity and maybe even billable work I can refer to my firm down the line. I’m going in with an open mind but little concrete information on his entity and goals and ways I could get involved. What questions would you ask such a person?
What’s the reason why equity partners (Big 4) can invest more than $19.5k into their 401k?

https://joinfishbowl.com/post_0um71i A lot of debate here and we’ve gotten a lot of “ranges.” Anybody have actual insight on the avg/median comp Principal/MD/Partner or how the comp model actually translates to numbers? Several of my peers would love to have a clearer sense of this salary trajectory in figuring out next steps.
MBB interviewers: “What’s your management style”, “What’s your communication preference”, ever hurt to provide a story to illustrate those traits? Or best spend that time elsewhere (“tell me about a time” questions, the case itself, etc). Ideally would do both, but only 30/45 mins here. TIA!
