Place is going down in flames most associates are leaving.
Aha! So there are reason to stay ;)
Been here many years -- yes, many associates (and some partners) have left for a combination of factors like compensation (GT generally pays well under market after year 2), work flow (GT is generally top heavy and, depending on your practice area and networking, you may not have enough work), and personality (we have a handful of jerks to work for). In my experience and the experience of others know, the culture is good in this office. Most shareholders make themselves available for mentoring. associates always help each other, and there is a nice intraoffice dynamic with staff. It's a good place to work. It is not the best place to work, but you could do a *lot* worse. DM with questions.
Not sure of your class year, but GT has a pretty hard ceiling at $350k base -- you can higher higher than market through your bonus, but at 1900 hours your rate will need to be pretty high, and you'll need to avoid the discounts GT often gives clients

Search this bowl. It’s all negative. I’d avoid if you can.
Interviewed with them a couple of years ago. Practice group leader and managing partner seemed cool but take my view with a grain of salt. The group I interviewed with was relatively small.
What group is also an important question.
Black box pay structure that always results in terrible comp for anyone except for the top partners. Top billing associates get a tiny percentage of their billings as a bonus and are told to be thankful. Really hard to make partner. I’d stay away.
I dated someone working there.
Short answer: stay away but take it if you have nothing else going for you.
