Thoughts on leaving consulting for F500, then maybe returning as partner?

Curious if anyone has left consulting for a F500 role and later returned as a partner, or at least seriously considered it.

I’m a few years in OW at the early EM level. The internal politics and constant need to pander both internally and to clients is wearing me down.

At the same time, I see clients making $400k+ working 50 hours. What gives?
