Thoughts on leaving EY where I have a good WLB for more interesting work & better comp at Deloitte? Definitely going to be less WLB at D but really like the folks I’d be working with..

It’s still early in my career so feeling it makes sense to enter the belly of the beast now so that WLB can only get better when I am ready to exit consulting. Not very challenged in my group at EY and haven’t been able to get in with a team I can stay plugged into bc of exits.

How many people earn a degree in Engineering but don’t pursue a career in it,for whatever reason?I know at least one and I don’t know why they spent all that time and money if they weren’t going continue in it

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school
