Hi Infosys guys, I have cleared one technical interview and got email for further round which is planned for tomorrow. Email mentions that this is a telephonic interview, is this supposed to be an HR round discussing salary or another tech round.

I'd say it's opened up more opportunities for me. I worked at agencies for 6 years and struggled to transition to client side. Once I got my PMP the interest I got from larger organizations sky rocketed. Salary went up by about 35k
I find it all quite silly tbh. I didn't learn anything new or transform to a better PM after getting my PMP
Not needed within an agency, but client side would care. The thinking connected to a PMP is widely used in large organizations esp with old school Ops teams (think Banks, pharma).
For what is worth, I got a job as a program manager with zero PMP certifications (even though they were listed as a “preferred” qualification). The people who hired me cared about my knowledge about our company (internal move for me) and connections within the company. They cared about my people skills, organizational ability and my track record of managing projects in past roles. I don’t work for an agency but hope that is helpful.
I'm 10+ years in as a creative services PM and have never needed it. Honestly though, I'm only considering it to put it on my resume/LinkedIn in hopes it'll help my job prospects.
I got my PMP this year after doing PM work for more than 20 years. It was hard learning a new vocabulary lol. I haven't seen one iota of difference in how my job applications are received.
I took a project mgmt certificate course at UW 8 years ago and didn’t end up studying to get the PMP because I didn’t see any value in having the UW certificate. No recruiters or employers asked about it. So figured it would be the same with the PMP cert. Also throughout my 14 year career as a marketing PM, I haven’t noticed any significant salary boost with my certificate in project management. Where I saw the most increase in salary was dependent on the company I worked at. I have worked both agencies and in-house. In my experience, my salary at agencies were significantly below in-house salaries.
