Tips on corp dev interview at a big bank. (Background: 1yr in the middle office, masters in finance, 1 ib internship)

Has anyone here had to give a 90 day plan in an interview? I’m on round 5 now for a field role, and I was informed this will be what the final interview consists of. Panel of 5-6 supposedly. Any tips or advice on what/how to present? How to prepare? Is it kind of like a quarterly business review sort of thing?

How do you recruit for startups? Exhausted from lack of responses from cold networking. What else should I do? I am aiming for roles in early stage startups. Didn’t study or work for long in US so don’t have a strong network.

I am asked during this RE analyst interview to build a real estate model from scratch. My background is commercial banking and I am used to analyzing real estate deals from the lender side not the developer. The interviewer is generous I must say he’s giving me a few days to complete. However this model is for a ground up multifamily development. I have no prior experience building one. I can find models online but all very complexe to reproduce. How would you handle? Do you have model to share?

Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. I started QA at the company I am currently at 3 years ago. Long story short, within 4 months at the company, I was able to make a career change and step into a PM position. Without having the formal education or PM experience, only my 5 years in QA experience. When I started I made $65k and have jumped to $78k. I have seen other companies post $100k+. Annual review is tomorrow. Should I fight for more or look for more somewhere else if I lose that fight?

I was supportive of Lori when this virus first started but her actions since have dwindled my support of her. I don’t expect her to make every decision correct nor do we have to agree with all of them. I believe she should be correct around 75 percent of the time but I believe she is in the 50 percent range. I know everything doesn’t fall on her shoulder but things haven’t been great as of late. Hopefully they figure out something soon.

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. During 2016, I was selected for wipro as a fresher undergone training, but I did not clear the training exams, so wipro terminated me.During tht time I created NSR profile, after tht I joined another MNC as fresher. I never mentioned wipro exp as previous exp anywhere. Now recently I got a offer frm wipro. here also I did not tell that I was earlier termined by wipro.If wipro asks me to provide NSR details during my joining, does NSR have my previous exp in their db? Does it affect my joining with wipro?

I'm an investment banker and in late stages of a couple CorpDev roles of Fortune 200 companies. Both roles report to Head of CorpDev. I would be interested to understand the typical career progression. Assuming Head of CorpDev will stay in position for the next 5-10 years, what is the expectation of upward mobility then? Is it more common to progress through jumping around to different companies?

My experience is as follows: BIG4 Audit > FP&A (CPG) > CD analyst (1 year)

I like my role (sourcing, modelling and strategy integration), however I don't see myself working in this industry long term. Without a generalist IB background, are my chances of transitioning over to a different Industry low? If so, is there anything I can learn or do (excluding IB)?
