Working at a hospital with a million programs and services. When is developing an independent brand for a group justified, and when should it remain part of the parent brand?

I am pregnant and don’t feel pregnant most of the time. I’m only 6 weeks so have to wait awhile before any visual confirmation. And then you worry about all the ones after that before 24 weeks or so. How do you cope? I am trying to be positive. I’ve had a miscarriage before so I’m nervous as well. I try some calming meditation and things like head massages but that lasts an hour tops!!

Okay, thank the stars this “estimated 9.2lb baby” was only 8lbs even. 😅

What are you all reading other than maternity help books? Any book recommendations for after baby is born? Mainly around how to keep the baby safe from injuries and incidents.

Any tips from women who had to take maternity leave while contracting? I’d been hoping to switch to a FT role before COVID then well you know...After 3 months I finally landed a couple contract opportunities but no luck yet with a FT role. I’m due in Feb and getting nervous. I know most companies also have a wait period to qualify for leave but am hoping to get hired at a more progressive company or negotiate. Also wondering if I can get unemployment if my W2 contract is set to end by due date?

My H1B is set to expire in Aug 2022, my employer is filing my extension, assuming I will get it till aug 2025 and I need to go to stamping.Parent is sick, needs to undergo a surgery. I want to go to India, to be with her during this time. My question here is if I go for visa stamping will I get stamping till Aug 2022 or aug 2025?
If I get stamping till Aug 2025, Can I come back before aug 2022 without any issue?
If I get stamping till Aug 2022, will there be any issues at port of entry

At a tech company with less than 50 people and $6 M Revenue. Our current maternity and paternity leave policy is not good for attracting talent. 12 weeks for mom only 4 weeks paid and no time off for dads. What would happen if I left my current company, started at a new one, and got pregnant before 12 months of service with the new company? For reference, I know new company requires 12 months for FMLA, and STD is 3 months.

How normal is it to be pulled off a trial team because you tell your boss you are moving after trial? I have a trial coming up first week of Oct. This case has been my baby, and I’m going to try it with my boss. I tell my boss up front that, for family reasons, I’ve gotten a new job and will be moving to another city two weeks after trial will likely end. He then gives my trial witnesses to another attorney, but is still going to make me do grunt work. Is he unreasonable or am I?

Can someone please for the love of god help me figure out how I can pay less income taxes? I only make 88k and I put the 12k standard deduction but I’m still getting taxed 27% of my paychecks! My sign on bonus (20 even) a few months ago was taxed nearly 45%! Excuse my ignorance, but am I doing something wrong? Will increasing deductions help or should I increase the withholdings?
