Recently received offer from Oracle Solution Services India Private Limited and base location mentioned is Bangalore. Just was curious to know whether we have to go to office physically for the joining or we can join virtually as I am not in Bangalore. Also is this offer different from Oracle or is it a branch within Oracle.

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Have you ever made a career move that you didn’t really want to make bc it wasn’t the right time but you knew it would advance your career and help you financially?

I have a great opportunity to really advance professionally and financially, but if I’m being honest, I don’t want it right now. What I’m doing works for my life right now and I enjoy where I’m at. But I also feel like I’d be nuts to pass up such a great opportunity.

I set up a call today with an even more senior leader (I am an EVP) and asked him for advice on navigating the political waters of our global workplace. He was so honest and helpful it was .....amazing. I don't think I expected it to be so genuinely helpful. I highly suggest you reach above for advice if needed. Sometimes it works!

Our company is going through a major transformation and there is quite a bit of resistance due to uncertainty and lots of broken promises. Are there any books you would recommend on how to change corporate culture and help employees adapt to change?

I’ve been a mid-level manager (Sr Operations Manager) for the last three years. Been in my industry for 10 years. I feel I have plateaued in my career path. Looking for guidance. I’ve been in people manager roles (in director/senior leader capacity) for the last 5 years now, and prior to that I was a “rockstar” Project Manager.
