Trying to leave government industry, have been trying to pivot to automotive in Detroit. I work in purchasing. I have over 20 years of experience and have been applying to OEMs and Tier 1s for three months now, but at best I’ve gotten one phone screen and no interviews. Getting a little frustrated. I know I’m not ’plug and play’, but my skill set is definitely transferable. Trying to not get bitter and frustrated. Just seems hopeless.

The pay will likely be much better and the position holds more responsibility than I’ve had before, so overall it would be a step up. I'm trying to figure out how to pivot out of my current job. My department is in utter chaos, which has just become completely unmanageable. I'm looking for front-end web design work, and work from home. I am a strong designer and basically set up landing pages for large companies on a proprietary CMS in our company.
