Two questions...

1) Anyone pivoted out of one field of PR (ie. Talent) and into another (ie. Brands/Events/Fundraising, etc.)?

2) How do I explain to companies that I don't have a portfolio like someone who worked in Brands? All my previous clients were celebrities so no "campaigns" aside from what was done in tandem with production, and any previous materials are under lock-down with the previous company (due to confidentiality/NDA's re: client base).

Would love some insight, please.

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? Today I learned a new thing. One candidate was referred by a colleague of mine in the system. He got selected and offer letter rolled out.

When he checked the system he realized the referral was not taken and the background system captured it as direct hire.

So my friend is not going to get any referral incentive.
