If I get stocks A & B at $50. In a month I sell one at $25 and the other at $75, do I still owe tax?

You all doubt my previous posts but all these bumps to 37-39k are fake bounces from retail buying the dip. Defi is gonna unravel. Do you honestly believe the 10-40% defi interest rates were risk free. It’s all paid by stablecoin printing backed by the assumption that crypto prices would keep appreciating

I’ve seen 33% net income, but honestly $1650/mo CANT even get a 500sqft condo on rent.
30% gross is $2750/mo 😱
Others say I can afford 600k houses but that seems irresponsible and ridiculous.

I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

I see two crowds these days. One thinks housing market will crash. The other thinks housing market will soar.

The contrarian in me makes me think this is a decent indication that housing market will stagnate (or increase minimally) for a few years.

As a general rules, I feel like the majority cannot foresee a crash/surge coming. The prevalence of such expectations would hamper the pre-conditions necessary for such a dramatic change.
